i have a little issue with the crown of the plant being exposed and stalks falling over and breaking from the main plant. I have found some snails up in the center of these stalks, which i killed and cut out anything dead.

I have thrown these stalks into my pond filter and they started to grow more roots,

Is this worth the effort since it is already mid summer in baltimore, MD??
