| I took some pics of a male ruby throated hummingbird perching on a dead hibiscus tree a few months ago, noticed his eyes were closed in a few of them, lol, it was the first time ive caught one perching and first (and probably last)time i have seen one with their eyes closed, anyway, thought he was cute and wanted to share. thanks!

| Last fall I had a late migrating Male RT I found sound asleep on my feeder one morning. The feeder was hanging under my roofed porch so I suppose it was a decent place to sleep. It was also pretty cold that morning and I was afraid he had hypothermia, but he woke right up and zoomed off when I walked outside. |
