I have had this wonderful Meade etx 90 telescope for years and at one point I was really into looking at the skies. Actually, first object I pointed it to was Saturn and that was completely by accident! I thought it might have been a planet, but knew it could very well have been a star. I have not used it for a few years. The small size and strong power seems to work well with hummers!

Today I dusted it off and put it on my kitchen table and pointed it at the feeder in the garden which is about 30 feet away. Depending on the eyepiece I use I and have it taking up about 50% of the view of the eyepiece to one where I can see basically see half the bird fill the entire view. It is really cool to see them up that close!

So if you happen to have a telescope lying around the house point it to a feeding port that you know gets used a lot. You won't be disappointed.
