Early this spring I had a Woodpecker who ate out of the feeders several times a day for a couple weeks. He'd cling to one of the plastic flowers with his claws and feed from the next port over.

I have regular goldfinch visitors who come drink water out of the ant moats. I have one hanging between the hook and the feeder, and the saucer feeder has one built in. Have seen other birds drinking also, but mostly the goldfinches. They sometimes try the nectar but go back to the water.

I was very surprised to see the chickadee there, but amused too. It certainly tried hard enough. There were several chickadees in the tree that day; I think they were attracted to the bird bath nearby.

I have goldies that drink out of the ant moat too. I felt for a moment that they were on the ant's side!

We routinely get a chickadee drinking nectar out of one of the ports. I leave the bee guard off one of ports and he/she/they visit several times a day. Haven't been able to distinguish whether it's one bird or several. The Anna's and Rufous wait until the chickadee's done before they come back.

I have had a female house finch to feed out of my hummingbird feeder. It amazingly HOVERS just like a hummingbird. It flaps its wings so rapidly to hover there and take a sip or two.

Amazing.

I have 2 chickadees that are regulars at my hummingbird feeder. Fun to watch!
