| Today at 120pm we sighted a Leucistic albino hummer in our yard, we have been able to photograph and video it.
Its the first one I have every seen and Me, and my wife had to do a double take. I wonder if it sticks around if it should be banded? We are in West Central Indiana. |

| What a rare sight! Don't know if this will help, but you might want to contact Allen Chartier who is a bander. He is listed in one of my hummer newsletters as a contact for your state. This newsletter is not current, but his email is listed as amazilia1@comcast.net or call him at 313-274-3434...don't know if those are current either, but it's worth a try! Donna |

| Ok I have filled the feeder of course, It caught me off guard because I was going to fill the feeder when I seen it but was afraid to mess with it before getting the pics. I have contacted the Banders that band in Indiana, we will see what happens, I hope its still around tomorrow. I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity. It just reaffirms that all of the work I put into the Hummingbird Gardens, and maintaining the feeders is worth it. Not that I ever doubt it is, however it takes alot of time to properly clean, fill, and maintain our 5 feeders, especially hot days like today. Here is some video of the bird along with 2 awesome pics. |

| civicminded Your hummer is Leucistic. An albino would have red or pink eyes and the bill and feet would also be devoid of color. I may also have one here. I caught a quick glimpse of it this afternoon at the feeder way out back but it was too far away for me to make a positive id from where I was. It was definitely a different bird from the others I have ever had around here. Penny |
