The plant in your photo is Turk's Cap (Malvaviscus Arboreus). This plant is not cold hardy in Zone 7 but overwinters very well indoors. Great hummingbird plant sold by a number of online plant vendors.

Hey, this is the plant my neighbor has, and we are in 7b. It comes back or reseeds or sends out runners or something. She has one growing right in her lawn, and that's not where they started out. The hummers love them, and the plants are fairly sturdy and attractive.
