Cold Nectar

Does anyone put out cold food for your hummers? I am lucky enough to have them all summer now, and notice when I take the refrigerated sugar solution out of the fridge and hang it up for them on these hot days (today is 108 degrees), they love it. They will perch and hang out and drink for the longest time. Has anyone else tried this?

They are still hitting my firebushes, salvia and lantana but really seem to love the cold stuff!

I havent used fridge cold but I do only use cold water from the tap which I do not heat up. Since you mention this I will try it out just to see if I can detect a difference. That may be hard to do as its migration now and Im having quite a few hummers, it would be hard to know the difference as they are aggressive feeders anyway.
