Bee Balm is very prone to mildew. Serenade is an organic spray for mildew, but if you live in a very humid climate like mine, it's a constant battle. As far as I know, the mold won't hurt the hummers. You might try a Cardinal Climber on that trellis in the Spring. I have it mixed with Morning Glory and the hummers love it. It doesn't wilt like the Morning Glory in the heat.

I grew Morning Glory and Cardinal Climber twined together this season. The colors were glorious. And the Cardinal Climber attracted one of my latest season HB visitors. I also had a CC vine winding around the pole I hung the feeder from. I'd definately reccomend it.
