Last of the Season

Lorna Secunda

I posted earlier on here about the poor hummer I found this morning dead on the rest of my feeder. I wonder what the poor baby died of it was very very sad. I took down all my feeders, disinfected them all and refilled them. I was so upset I thought that I had killed all the hummingbirds. I use a 1;4 ratio of cane sugar to water and change out the feeder every 2-3 days. I have noticed a decrease in the visits to the feeder and thought I had killed them when I found the dead one. I just looked up and noticed that there was a hummingbird again at the feeder, I will watch for them this evening as this is usually when they frequent the feeders the heaviest. I am new to this and was very very upset......maybe this one I just saw is the last of the season?????
