Terrific picture, Dave. You've caught the gauzy look of the wings hovering and the tiny feet locked close to the body. Really great shot.

I'm curious: How do you get cuphea so big? Do you bring it inside in the winter, or does it just look big?

dave_k, the hummers were really enjoying mine this summer too. I have taken cuttings so that I will have many more next year, since they are not hardy here either. They are pretty easy to root. Really great shot. Love it!

Nice shot and yes they do like and use david verity a lot.

Do you grow salvia oxyphora its a very unique fuzzy flowered plant that has many stems with multiple flowers on each. This shot was also taken thru the window.
