How's the crowd in Southern IL?

How many hummingbirds are you seeing in southern Illinois? I live near Mt. Vernon and have not seen one since October 7.

Hi, I live around Edwardsville, IL. I haven't seen my hummers either since the 7th, my 2 young juvie males left 2 days ago with the cooler weather we've had move in....I'm leaving the feeders up through the weekend and then I'll take them down if I don't see anymore feedings.

That is what I have done, too. With the temps dropping last night I have doubts to be seeing any more this season.

Well its been a 5 days now and haven't seen any hummers so hopefully they are heading to warmer climate. I agree with them I don't like fall and winter so spring and summer can't come quick enough for me. Hope everyone has great holidays.

Our scout appeard this AM, samped the 2 day old solution in the feeder and departed. I have replaced it with new
and we await his return.
We are reporting from 7 miles east of Centralia Illinois
