Fabulous video. That's some great setup you have! That is about the number of Anna's and Rufus we had here in Oregon this year. And the Rufus were more aggressive this past spring than usual, not only attacking the Anna's hummingbirds we have year-round, but also getting after regular birds who were at the feeders eating some fifteen feet away and having the nerve to harass and chase chickadees in trees nowhere close to the feeders. I witnessed one pitching a fight with a stellar jay and another going after a squirrel in the yard. Ahah. Yours are so mild-mannered. :)

Our Anna's love salvia. It appears to be the favorite. They're not going to be happy when winter comes. We never used to have them year-round, but for the past three years, suddenly we have! The numbers drop dramatically, though.

Thanks teatree! Glad that you enjoyed it. I was standing on my porch when I shot the video, so the first porch you see is my next door neighbor's. Between us, we keep about 12 feeders going, and we need to refill often. It's really so cool having them around in droves! I adore sitting out with them, and I even hand feed sometimes. Living where I do, I only see the RTHB's. I suppose I might have a small chance of seeing a Rufous in the yard someday. I keep a saucer style feeder out in winter, just in case one passes through. You are so lucky to have them all winter. Wow.

Ooooh with the amazing number of hummingbirds you get to see, I wouldn't be at all sad if you don't see Rufous. They can be ornery little twerps. :)

If you're able to hand-feed them, that's pretty extraordinary.

Well surprisingly, it wasn't very hard to accomplish. Since we have so many, I decided to try hand feeding. Initially, I would take down my feeders and then sit close to where the feeder had been. Now, they will come and hand feed even with all of the feeders up. Here is a pic.
