They Are Gone!

| My few remaining guests packed up and left sometime during the night! Not a single hummer at the feeders this morning, though I spotted 2 or 3 late yesterday afternoon. Don't blame them one bit as we've had 2 days of very chilly weather. I'm feeling a little lonely today but will pray they have a safe trip. What a wonderful season!

| Donna That reminds me of last year when my final visitor was on oct 18. I know you are feeling down a bit, but take heart in the fact THEY WILL BE BACK in fact you should see them next spring on their way north and see them before me. And yes we just cant complain it has been a great hummer season. |

| OOPS...I spoke too soon. There's one little female at a feeder. Though it's a gorgeous sunny day, it's very chilly and windy, but I guess she's managing to stay warm, bless her heart! Steve or anyone else, do you know why 1 or 2 will hang around in cold weather? |

Maybe she needs to fatten up a little more. It's good they all don't leave together in case severe weather hits on the way South. Enjoy your little girl. It's so sad when they all leave. |

| She's still here this morning and we had a light frost last night. She looks so lonely at the feeder with no friends around!!! |

| Yes, its true they need to be well stocked before they move on, they know when to go , and some god forbid might be ill and might not be able to go, it happens and thats just nature, its reality or nature's way. Godspeed young hummers. |

| Well, my girl has a new friend. Don't know when she arrived, but I saw both of them this morning. Maybe they'll travel together when they leave...it's alot more fun with a companion! |
