Hummingbird Garden

Saw a rufus hummingbird at the few remaining hollyhocks just after lunch. I am located in Fort Macleod, Alberta. The garden has been pretty much finished for a while now so I was really surprised to see one this late in the season. Needless to say, out went the feeder until the snow comes.

Amazinig how a few hang around so long, isn't it? Poor little guys, my guess is they're not strong enough yet to migrate. Good for you putting the feeder back up.

It must have just been passing through as I haven`t seen it all but I will leave the feeder up just in case there are any more stragglers.
