This photo was posted here on Mar 31, the day this little shy female and a male arrived here in West TN. I've seen hummers every day since then. But not today. *sniff*

Yes, sad times indeed but at least you had them at least a week longer than I and some of the rest on here. My first hummer did not arrive in my yard untill april 30 at 9:00pm and my final sighting on oct 6. I cant complain. Such a long winter we have, but take heart you will see them about 1 month before I will.

RE: Boo hoo hoo

I feel your pain guys,

All of us here are likely missing our hummers now.

This is how we remember ours... until they return again next year:

keep heart...they'll be back,

Kenn :]

Kenn, your photography is beautiful.

Great shots. What camera are you using?

RE: Boo hoo hoo

Let us know when you see your first 2008 spring visitor. We'll know they're on their way!

RE: Boo hoo hoo

Thanks scouterbecky and hummersteve,

My camera is a Canon S3-IS.

Perhaps some of you might enjoy the many other hummer shots (and lots of other bird photos) in our Gallery.
