Anyone in Houston notice no more hummingbirds at feeders? I stopped seeing them since last week. Anyone in Texas still getting them or?

Jay, I'm in San Antonio. I've had two females for a week now, but before last week end, none here for three weeks. I was surprised to see them, and they were still here this afternoon.

I had taken down all but one feeder. Now I have two out just for my pair of females.

You're lucky being on the coast because you may have some wintering over on the Texas coast. If I were in Houston, I would keep a feeder up all winter.

Also, there is a post here of someone photographing a Rufous recently in Austin. They winter over in Texas occasionally.

I live in Seabrook and I had about 20 hummingbirds yesterday. The count had dropped down to about 3 a week ago but the first cold front brought about 8 more and the last front (yesterday) brought in about 10 more.
