I have a single feeder outside of my home office window, it is very cold here. Snow and temps in the mid 20's. About 5 min ago just after dusk I noticed a hummingbird on the feeder, he was there for a very long time, maybe 5min...drinking occasionally. I went downstairs and when I came back he was gone, I looked out on the deck and he had fallen off the feeder and was lying in the snow on his back. I am not sure what to do, I have taken him inside and am trying to warm him up, maybe he got brain freeze drinking the nearly frozen feeder nectar?
Please help this beautiful bird to survive!
