Hi,

Will hummingbirds use these plants for nectar, all in the Rose family:

-Apple (Malus spp.)
-Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.)
-Juneberry/serviceberry/Saskatoon (Amelanchier spp.)

?

Thanks,
Steve

I think it depends on the variety. I know they are attracted to an apple cultivar called "praire fire" and as far as Hawthorn goes, they seem to prefer the english type. Dont know about the other stuff though. If your looking for a hummingbird tree I would suggest getting some red buckeye.
