Hummingbird at the feeder - it is freezing outside

Hi, I'm not sure if I should do nothing or something - there is a little hummingbird at my window feeder. I haven't put any new nectar/food in the feeder in a few weeks, and it is freezing outside. I have read postings of how to keep the feeders from freezing but I have no way to plug up extension cords or anything like that in this location. Just wondered if there is anything I need to do.

Have you considered putting it out for a couple hours at at time, then briging it in to warm it up before putting it back out again?

Additionally, if it's very close to your window, and the temps don't drop down much below freezing, your feeder probably will not freeze.

I would definately clean and refresh the feeder and it would have to get a lot below freezing to freeze the mix very fast. Maybe refresh the mix a couple of times a day as long as the hummer hangs around.
