Hummingbird Garden

What kind of hummer?

Hi all,

I took this pic last September and just found it. It doesn't look like the usual rubythroated hummers around here (central Indiana). What do you think it is? It has some brown under its wing and white on its tail. It has a partial eye ring over the top of its eye. Its beak was thicker and shorter than the usual rubythroats around here.

You might want to post this over on the Hummingbird Forum. There are a lot of hummingbird experts over there that should be able to help you.

I would guess a female Rufous, but then I'm not an expert.
