Muscat Hybrid Grapes

Has anyone tried to make hybrid crosses with a Muscat type wine grape? I'm looking for good parent Muscats to use in breeding a wine grape for the Northwest. I have some Muscat of Alexandria x Riparia hybrids about to set their first crop in 2005 and would like to hear from other grape breeders--- especially for wine grape types.

RE: Muscat Hybrid Grapes

When I worked at Cornell they had a really nice hybrid muscat with Muscat Ottonel as a parent. It was a little low on vigor, but the yield was okay, and both were greatly improved with grafting. Made a great white wine...I think it would have been even better as a somewhat sugary dessert type (we made all the wines bone dry for evaluation purposes). The selection number was 62.0122.01, I believe, and was available for testing at one point.
