I want to hybrid roses

I'm trying to hybrid roses so that they are black. I'm doing thuis project so I can graduate high school. Please, can anyone help?

I sure hope you have some other way of graduating.

There are several very dark red roses that sometimes appear black or brushed with black: Oklahoma, Inkspots, Black Ice, Black Jade, Lavaglut and Kuroshinju.

A truly black rose is not impossible -- there are black pansies and tulips -- but it would take a very concentrated effort, lots of room for growing seedlings, and probably many years.
