Hybridizing S. Divinorum and S. elegans

I came across this idea after reading an article on hybridizing at home plants. These two plants are the only plants I have in my garden of the same species and after researching them deeply have came to the conclusion that this would be an awesome hybrid. A few concerns I have though are that both seem to have problems producing ferile seeds. S. Elegans seems to be the more productive seeder so I think this should be the plant to be fertilized to enhance the likelyhood of fertile seedlings. My S. Divinorum plant is just getting started and has a little while before it will flower. My S. Elegans has flowered already just before winter settled in and it was wonderful.
Now this may seem far fetched but I think its a great idea and thought im far from getting their I think it would be something I would love to try out. :) and I never said it was easyy

I got an awesome update. I picked a Seed pod off my S. Elegans and germinated the seed with a paper towel and it sprouted. Its not in some soil and is just getting started. :0 . This means my plant is fertile
