Colchicine source?

I'd like to cross a diploid with a tetraploid, but have the offspring be fertile. Since triploids are infertile, I'd like to double the ploidy of the diploid first, to make it tetraploid, then do the cross, to get offspring that are tetraploid and hopefully fertile. I read about plant breeders doubling ploidy with colchicine, but can amateur plant breeders get some? Where?
