Has anyone tried to create a heat resistant Sugar Snap Pea?

Has anyone tried to create a heat resistant Sugar Snap Pea? I love the way that Sugar Snap Peas taste, but with the long summers here in Texas, it would be great to have a variety of Sugar Snaps that could take the heat. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I would go about trying to breed one? What parent varieties should I start with? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

David

" Wando" is a heat tolerant pea used in Massachusetts . You shoul read a book by Kent Wheally the index of seeds in the U.S. and Canada . a very nice book that will show you where to get the most extream vegetable seeds good luck.
