So I posted a few days ago about my seed pods on my irises...
http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/hybrid/msg0512350929682.html?1
Well it had JUST started to turn brown, and my son decided it needed to come off.. (he's 2. I've been waiting weeks, he waited 5 seconds..) Well my question is should I let it turn brown before I take the seeds out or open it today and plant them?
Thanks for any help! |

| The pod will dry ,turn brown and split open exposing the seeds when they are ready to harvest. I harvest them after they split but before they fall out of the pod . these are prematurely harvested . Either way is about the same now . the seeds should be about the size of Indian corn kernels . good luck |
