I planted my beds 9 years ago.Why suddenly does a plant this age, that has been popping up Pink little look alikes from seed for several years, start popping up green stemed white flowered little one out of nowhere? I imagine that it started last year as this is the first year the flowers started? Will these be more hardy then the other white ones?

Occasionally something different just shows up, either from genetic mutation or recombination, it will probably have many of the characteristics of the parent.

Maybe there was an error replicating the pigment gene, like albinism, or maybe there's a new pollenizer in town. Who knows?
