Freezing pollen saving?badly pruned grape, pollenated again

Posted by francis_eric 5 Illinois (My Page) on

MY neighbors vines got pruned very badly by the city, and they started to produce more pollen, a month or 2 after they pollenated.
I guess It could be used for hybridizing or even for the extreme naturalist-->(or belifes I guess), That don't believe in saving pollen.
What I did want to ask is.
Do you know what IS a good way to save (grape)pollen?
In the freezer, in the fridge, with nitrogen drying it.
I heard of USDA selling it I wonder how much it is,
but im not worried about That I know someone I can ask

Hi francis_eric,
your question seems to have been answered by an excellent article from the renowned David_Zlesak on Thu, Nov 6, 03 at 16:57 under the heading "polen storage", you will currently find this thread on page 10.
May I offer my personal admiration for the persistence that you have demonstrated in the pursuit of an answer to your question.
