What Hydrangea is this?

I was given this Hydrangea and told it was limelight, however I do not believe that to be correct. Other than that, it doesn't seem to like afternoon sun, blooms off of new growth, and has horizontal runners. Any help would be great.

RE: What Hydrangea is this?

It could be Limelight; normally it blooms around July but that is something that varies from year to year. Quickfire tends to be an early paniculata bloomer but most, if not all, paniculatas will develop runners so I guess this does not help either, hu? Well, keep an eye on the blooms. Limelight blooms are immature and tend to stay green longer than others before turning white. If placed in a sunny spot, the Limelight blooms will turn white faster so some shade is recommended in order to maintain the greenish color longer.

Here is a link that might be useful: A row of Limelights
