Is This A Hydrangea?

When I purchased this plant this spring, I was told it was a peony. Much to my suprise, it never did resemble anything from the Peony family. As it grew and started buding, i searched and found it could be from the Hydrangea family. Is this a Hydrangea and if so can someone tell me possibly what family it is from?

I would say, no, but am not really sure. Looks like a datura.

Could it be Monarda, commonly called Bee Balm?
