| Anyone else here noticing that deer have eaten about 75% of all the terminal buds off their plants?? I'll be lucky to see anything by Spring. Same goes for rhodies magnolia etc. They've even eaten the dried flowers off the paniculatas. I guess I'll have to find a way to use liquid fence better or invest in enough netting to make the place look like a military base in the jungle. Drat... |

| Oh, man! I use dogs to keep most pests away but the dogs are not outside every second of every day so, I still see some wildlife... armadillos, skunks, coyotes, possums, bunnies, ducks, herons, etc. Maybe one of them a year. Could the drought be behind this problem? Meaning the plants in the wild did not generate enough "food" for the animals so they are shopping closer to home? The drought in 2012 was not as bad as the one in 2011 here but others had a worse time than we had in 2012. I was wondering if that may have increased the number of "visits". |
