Very cool. I've read that it takes partial to full sun. Does anyone know if it will tolerate Texas sun/heat?

Like other paniculatas, it can take Full Sun in the northeast and most norhtern states but not here in Texas and the southern states. In the South, give the shrubs shade in the afternoon.

Just bought one last fall! A very sturdy, clean paniculata.

Planted 11 of them, 3 days later they appeared to be dying. Cannot figure out what is wrong. Planted in correct location, watered, added compost, thought I did everying correctly. Any help?

I just ordered one from our local nursery. I planted two limelights last year and they were very pretty and care free. I want more but run out of space for the big one. So Little Lime is perfect. I should get it by this Tuesday, 3-Gallon for $36.95. I just hope it will bloom as well as limelight.

Janice, I am not going to be much help. When you say that the shrubs appear to be dying, what are symptoms? Sometimes new hydrangeas wilt quite often during their first year. But they self correct by the next morning so no action is necessary provided that the soil remains moist and is well mulched.

I'll send this news to my daughter, as I just ordered two for her this morning (and one for me). I love my Limelights, and was happy to add Little Lime to the garden.
