| i have one oakleaf - doing well - beautiful - now the question - it has sprouts coming from the ground - some as far away as 18 inches - should i cut them or leave the alone

| You could let them grow and harden, then you could dig and severe those sprouts from the mother plant and give new hydrangeas to friends or plant them somewhere else. |
