Frost damage should be noticeable soon as temps revert back above freezing and damaged leaves react. You can visually inspect leaves a day or a few days after temps revert back above freezing. With stems that have not leafed out, wait a week or so after the temps are back above freezing and then use a finger to scratch the cambium layer; if the tissue under the cambium layer looks yucky brown or black, there was damage; if it looks green, there was no damage.

Oh thanks guys. They looked healthy afterwards so they made it just fine. Unfortunately we are having a wind storm with gust of winds of 45 mph and I am dreading going outside. I will be caging them up again and placing a sheet over them for tonight but I am worried that the wind will knock over The cages even though I am staking them to the ground. The wind might also remove the sheets. Sigh* is Mothers day here yet? I'm sick of these *F*, haha.
