What to do?

I had my brother-in-law build me a new shed. The flower bed next to the where the old shed was had large hydrangea's in it. I believe I have the Mophead hydrangeas. Well getting to the point, when I came home today I had a bunch of broken off wood sticks in flower bed. This hydrangea first starts to grow from the base of the plant but some leaves do grow on some of the sticks. Now that they broke some of the sticks, will my hydrangea still grow?
