In my experience any of the paniculatas are pretty forgiving of heat.

I would choose a H. macrophylla or H. quercifolia (oakleaf hydrangea). It will need protection from the sun starting around 11am-12pm in the summer months. A place that is not windy will help prevent wilting episodes on the first few years. Hydrangeas do well in well draining, moist (not wet), acidic soil so you will need to amend the soil or grow it in pots/containers. I grow them in the ground but have to amend the soil (to acidify it) in Spring and sometimes again in July-Fall. Oakleafs are more drought tolerant but the roots develop root rot if allowed to stay in wet soil for long periods of time. Places with unamended clay soil or places where water accumulates can be problematic to oakleafs.
