Not sure whats going on

I have two hydrangeas. One is a big daddy southern living brand hydrangea that we put in the ground about 2 weeks ago. It was doing great then started to droop. We dug up and re planted with miracle grown shrub garden soil. It did great for 2 days, then back to drooping. The leaves and stalks are waxy and there is new growth. I water once a day and it gets morning sun.

The other I think has some fungal issues. I got it at the grocery store to see if it would grow.

Big Daddy needs more water. About a gallon per week to start and then up to two in summer.

Grocery store specimens often have the first set of blooms wiped out by fungus. Once they look like that, they don't get better. Lop them off. In most cases, the leaves and stems will be fine. The plant will either rebloom this year or it won't, depending on what cultivar it is.

Great thanks! I am glad its not root rot. the soil at our new house was repelling water. I will go drench him right now.

Well it could be over watered if the ground it's in is already completely saturated. But it didn't look saturated in the pic.

I have a few misc ones that do fine in mooshy ground. If it continues to struggle, consider moving it.
