What's wrong with Limelight?

I planted two Limelight Hydrangeas by my north-facing front porch last year. I've been really happy with them. However, I notice that one has some misshapen foliage on one side. I don't detect any insects, but may not be looking for the right thing. The other plant, and the other half of this plant, look okay. Any ideas? Thanks!

In this first picture, you can see a lot of normal-looking plant and can kind of make out the frilly, deformed foliage.
