Have you tried your regional forum? Unless a poster from your immediate area visits this post, you may wait a long time for such a localized reponse :-) Usually, those who garden within a specific locale - like the regional forums - will have a much better knowledge of what is available locally.

And FWIW, if local area nurseries have never heard of or do not carry the plant, chances are it does not grow very well in that location and so not offered. I realize climbing hydrangea is a tough, hardy species, but the Twin Cities area will be at the lower edge of its hardiness zone. Just a thought.
