Thanks! Do you know about how long they need to be supported with a stake? And can I get greedy and ask for a picture of it later in the year when it's got more blooms on it? :)

As for the stake, I would leave it about 2-3 years.... more if the location is windy (I would not put a standard shrub in a windy location though... just my opinion... a strong wind can bring it down years afterwards). If we could somehow see how much the roots have grown, it would help determine when to remove the stake. Since we can't, I always leave stakes in place several years.

I plan to put it next to my front porch not far from the foundation. Hoping it would be protected enough there. I appreciate the info!
