Lowe's selling 1-gal Coerulea Lace as All Summer Beauty

Was at Lowe's this morning and they're selling mis-labeled one gallon H. japonica Coerulea Lace as H. macrophylla All Summer Beauty for $9.98. Much more interesting to me than the 7-gallon fully mature 4x4' ASBs going for $40.

They sold correctly labeled Coerulea lace last year in two gallon pots, but they looked rather unkempt and I was skeptical of their capabilities at the time. But now I have a plant and the proof: elongated leaves and the early, fully-formed blooms from new and old wood.

Coerulea Lace is an old hybrid of H. serrata and macrophylla that was classified as H. japonica. They're way up there with Blue Deckle / Billow as top lacecap performers that were around before Summer Lace, Twist n' Shout and Tuff Stuff (more than 150 years, in fact). It grows up to 5x5' and the foliage turns a hot pink/bronze in the fall.

I've recommended this as it's long been kind of an obscure item but has outstanding capabilities.
