Thanks for the info. I don't think that is quite what my neighbor had in mind, but I'll give her the info.

I wonder if my neighbor was misled by how small mine are. They were little sticks when I planted them a month ago, and while they are healthy and growing good, they hardly indicate yet how big they will become. Perhaps she thinks they only get 2-3 ft tall and that accounts for her sudden interest in them.

I would recommend Little Lamb over little lime right now, since the first is a known performer and you won't have to pay the ridiculous fees that new Proven Winners bring with them. She could probably keep it that small if she basically pruned down to the ground every year. You can do a search for it here; people have posted some lovely pictures of theirs.

The Little Lamb is available at most good garden centers. The Tickled Pink & Little Lime are new and hard to find. I have two Little Lamb's and they are a very nice smaller shrub. I hard prune them in spring and they do great. They are known to flop alittle, but I haven't had mine flop to bad. Maybe it is because I hard prune them??? The flowers are very unique compared to other hydrangeas!
