ES blooms turned brownish

I have 6 large Endless Summer hydrangeas planted. All have masses of large blooms which used to be blue. They have been blooming for perhaps 5-6 weeks. I was away for 3 weeks and came back to find all the blooms have turned a brownish purple dull color. The were watered while I was away as we have an inground sprinkler system.

Why the color change so soon in the season?

Casey, heat? Are you in the area that has been having unusually warm temps for June?

There is a fungal infection that will cause browning of the flowers but my guess is going to go with what is weather related..... a more obvious and common cause.

That must be it! I'm in Savannah Ga....temps are/have been high 90's and have even hit 100 a few times already. Kind of amazing they are alive come to think of it...
