Is my Hydrangea sick?

Hi guys this is my first post on the forum.

I recently planted my king george hydrangea into the ground from a pot. It has been in for a few weeks and I noticed some of the lower leaves turning yellow to pure white. The white ones dropped off eventually. Also a lot of the leaves are turning dark burgundy and I was wondering if this is normal?

Wondered if anyone could tell me if the hydrangea is dying?

No issues. Long as the remaining leaves don't droop or shrivel, should be fine. Water up to every other day if no rain when newly planted.

Red coloration is from sun. White leaves at the base is normal and often they drop off as the plant gets taller (when little or no sunlight reaches down there and this the leaves are no longer needed.)
