blooms on Dooley rotting/melting

Good morning, I hope that one of you can help me with a problem I noticed on my Dooley this morning. It has been blooming nicely, but when I went to look at it up close today I saw that the blooms were brown - wet, not dry. The stems of the individual blossoms appear to be rotting and the heads just fall apart. This plant is in a shady area and we have had heavy rain off and odd lately and high humidity/temperatures. My other hydrangeas don't have this problem, but are in areas with more sun. Have any of you seen this before? Should I do anything? Thanks,

Marjorie
