what does endless summer mean?

My Mom is wondering if chopping off the old, faded flowers will make her ES's bloom more this year. We don't know if the name means the blooms are supposed to last longer than other hydrangeas, or if they are supposed to make more blooms after other hydrangeas are already done.

Endless Summer should bloom from May/June to November. It's a hydrangea that can be pruned at _any time_ because it blooms on "new wood." You can cut it down the the ground every fall and it will still bloom. Or you can just let them go, like I did last fall and get an ever-growing plant. I usually prune mine to the ground, but look what I got this year.

My ES original bloomed in early april and still has blooms on it, while all my others have stopped blooming even the ES twist N Shout. As Lisa said, it should continue to bloom way into early fall.

Side note - Lisa - OMG, I have major Hydrangea envy!! BEAUTIFUL!!
