I have seen Little Lime at a local plant nursery but eh.... it was near the end of the growing season so the shrubs/blooms did not look well kept & did not impress me.

I really like the Bobo's pictures I have seen but (a) am concerned with the weight of the blooms causing flopping problems and (b) sometime ago, I found a link to a plant nursery in which they said their Bobo plants failed to bloom (see the link below). So with shady space at a premium in my garden, I skipped both.

LL is a top-notch shrub, IMO! I got a nice 3-gallon with many branches for $15 because of a pricing error, and it grew about 2/3 to its supposed full size in its first season! I've attached a photo of it about 2/3 of the way into bloom. It experienced no flopping.

This spring I pruned out the tiniest branches, and it's soaring back to do what it did last year. The blooms age to a creamy color which Limelight does not, and the leaves are much smaller as well.

Bobo is much newer, so it is far-less tested. I suppose I can best compare its blooms to those of limelight's non-green counterpart Silver Dollar...

I have 9 Bobos and 3 Little Limes. The Bobos were new this year. When I got them they were just leafing out. They already have some flowers. My Little Limes aren't anywhere near ready to flower. They are both great plants so far. The Little Limes will be bigger than the Bobos. The flowers on the Bobos seem a little looser than the LL's.

Maybe I will test out both in different areas. I only have 1 hydrangea so far (white diamonds) and it is growing slowly. I'm not sure how it compares to others but it was a Mother's Day gift so it means a lot to me that it is still alive.
