do Hydrangeas self sow?

I have a hydrangea that I transplanted from its very happy part shade NE corner of my house to its new, hot afternoon sun, SW side of my house because we added a deck in the back. This was a few years ago, and the year after transplant it did pout for awhile, but it seems to have forgiven me and is happy again, even with so much sun. I've been pulling what I thought were weeds out of the bed it is in until I noticed the leaves on the "weed" look like the hydrangea. It also seems like they pop up mostly in this bed. Could they be hydrangea seedlings? Do they self sow like that? I've only heard of propogation by cuttings or people purchasing seed.

I don't know what kind of hydrangea it is, but I'd guess some sort of ES like seem to be everywhere. If they are hydrangea seedlings and I let one or two grow, will they be established enough to survive the winter and return next year?

Thanks for your input!
