first yr little lime

this has been in the ground about 3 weeks. I was concerned that the leaves were so small. but to my surprise and delight, when I was taking this picture, I noticed that some of the new leaves are getting bigger. and it is going to bloom.......hooyah!

You just reminded me to check mine. Some of the flower buds on mine are starting to open (2-3 so far)... we are talking about 1/4 of an inch or so... but it is early so I expect more in time. But "all right" anyways!

Old wood Macs did poorly from a blooming standpoint this year. Only the oakleafs bloomed well and on time. Annebelle did not return. :o(

Enjoy your LL! Consider adding (around LL) some annuals that bloom red or yellow to contrast LL's blooms.

old Macs were indeed poor this year but ES,Forever and Lets Dance are now blooming! From the ground except Lady In Red-no die back there! Annabelles and Oakleaf are also fabulous. Limelight and Little Lime are all budded up.
