Hydrangea leaves curling up

My oak leaf hydrangea's are several years old and this year for the first time the uppermost, newest leaves are all curled up, almost like when you make a fist with your hand. Does anyone know why this is happening and what the problem is?

I have pics, but have not figured out how to attach them.

Sometimes winter damage can cause this problem. Other times, week killers will cause curling as well. Some pests will even cause curling (you may be able to see them if you inspect the leaves during the day and night).
